LEAPS
Our human heart, a weary maze,
answers lost in haze.
longing for hands to guide,
stumble through darkest tide.
Your mind, a mirror cracked and torn,
Reflects the wounds from which we’re born.
Chasing shadows, blind to light,
Hoping to be led, not fight.
In every step, a choice is made,
But wisdom hides, and truths all fade.
A leader’s voice, so sweet, so strong,
Is just a tune to which we long.
But listen close, and you will find,
The key was always in our mind.
Yet still we roam, and still we crave,
A path to follow, a world to save.
The past repeats, the pain returns,
For every lesson unlearned burns.
Caught in circles, round we go,
A vicious dance we’ve come to know.
The self is lost, yet seeks to lead,
Feeding on the fear and need.
We stumble forth with blinded eyes,
As life and death in cycles rise.
We cling to dreams, we bow to kings,
While breaking free is what it brings.
But still we search, we chase, we fall,
Forgetting we’ve the strength to call.
In endless leaps of black and light,
We feed the fire, we lose the fight.
The dance continues, round and round,
While freedom waits without a sound.
